At St Gregory’s, each class is named after a particular saint. At the beginning of each academic year, pupils complete work on their Class Saint in RE lessons. They also mark their Class Saint’s feast day by leading a liturgy for their peers. In Year 2 and below, parents are also invited to attend a time of prayer led by their children. In Year 3 and above, pupils participate in a Class Mass in the Emmaus Room, celebrated by Fr Christopher or Fr Brendan from our local parishes. Parents are also invited to attend this.
Each class also has a beautiful novena pack, put together generously by Janet Northing, a parishioner at St Gregory’s. They contain a handmade chaplet for each class, prayer card and image of each of our Class Saints. These are kept safely on the prayer focus in each classroom and are the responsibility of the Worship Leaders and GIFT Team members.
