Jubilee Art - Red White and Blue

Easter Trail

The children followed an exciting Easter Trail, finding clues and answering questions about Easter, the Passion of Our Lord and the meaning of new life.

Lenten Reflection

Our Trust Chaplain, Mrs Darwin, arranged for children from the Choir and Ethos Team to attend the Cathedral for Lenten Reflection. They joined pupils from other local Trust schools to reflect on the Stations of the Cross. There were meaningful readings and music to encourage us to develop a deeper understanding of the meaning of Lent and our journey towards Easter. We are grateful to Fr Mark, Fr David & Fr Andrew for welcoming us to the Cathedral for this event, where your children represented our school brilliantly.

Day of Many Colours - Thank you for your generosity supporting our food banks, helping our community during this pandemic

On Monday, we celebrated the Feast of St Peter and St Paul by holding a Day of Many Colours in school. The children wore lots of different colours and were really generous in their donations of food and toiletries to the Thomas Becket Community Larder and the Swan and Helmet Food Bank; both of which have helped families in our community during the pandemic.

Diocesan Schools' Mass 2019

On Friday 11th October 2019, four mini buses left the Northampton Catholic Schools with 60 very excited children and young people. The destination was Dunstable and the occasion was the Diocesan School’s Mass at St Mary’s Church with over 700 children, Headteachers and staff from the other 53 schools in Northampton. Bishop Peter was celebrating the Mass, assisted by priests from all around the diocese.

Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Our school has raised £70.00 for people living with cancer by hosting an event as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World Biggest Coffee Morning.

The event was held on Wednesday 25^th September in the school hall, and was open to our Stay & Play group and the parents and carers of pupils.

Mini Vinnies: Feast Day of St Vincent de Paul

On 27th September the feast day of St Vincent de Paul, the Mini Vinnies patron, a selection of pupils represented our school attending Mass at Sacred Heart Church. After Mass, the children had refreshments and an opportunity to meet with parishioners in the Church Hall, including the President and Secretary of the Sacred Heart Conference of the SVP.

Mrs Yuen's Induction Mass

Last week members of St Gregory's School and St Mary's School, along with the local school committee, representatives from NORES and the Diocese joined Mrs Kirstie Yuen to celebrate her Induction Mass as the new Executive Headteacher of St Gregory's and St Mary's Schools.

They welcomed Mrs Yuen's family and staff from her former school St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Aston-Le-Walls, as Monsignor Kevin McGinnell led the Mass. The Mass was concelebrated by Deacon Michael Fleming from the local Parish and Fr James Evans from Aston-Le-Walls.

Northampton in Bloom Entry

This year we've entered the Northampton in Bloom competition. It is a local competition, headed up by Northampton Borough Council, that encourages schools, community groups, residents, businesses, allotments and parish councils to get involved in horticulture and community projects for the benefit of residents and visitors to the town.
