This term year 3 had a wonderful time visiting Flag Fen Archaeology Park in Peterborough. The children explored how the prehistoric people of the fen lived over 3000 years ago. They visited a Bronze Age village, sat within the reconstructed roundhouses, and had the opportunity to view and handle a range of ancient objects found on the site including weapons, jewellery and even England’s oldest wheel. Gregory Bear accompanied year 3 on their trip and he even got to sit in a Bronze Age log boat.
