On 6^th February children's author Billy Bob Buttons came in to school to work with our children in key stage 2.  In preparation for his visit, children in Year 5 had already sampled a taste of some of his books and were excited by the style of his writing.

Throughout the afternoon, he completed a writing workshop with Years 3 and 4 on developing characters in a story, and then Years 5 and 6 on planning their narrative.

After school some children purchased books and had them signed by the author, in our new library.

The children and staff enjoyed the visit and we now look forward to seeing the children apply their “Top Tips” in their writing!
