During October, Black History Month, we were excited to welcome Nicola to spend the day with year 3 and 4 children to create an underground railroad quilt after leading the whole school in an assembly where she shared a story about the pathway to freedom of slaves in Georgia, USA in the 1800s. We're sure your child will be keen to tell you the story!
The quilt has been returned to school now that the patchwork pieces created by the children have been sown together. It will be displayed in the school hall for all to see, please have a look next time you are in school.
