Year 5 - Walsingham Residential Trip
On Monday 18th June we were delighted to be able to take 26 of our Year 5 pupils on a residential trip to Walsingham.
We left school on Monday morning, arriving at Walsingham in time for Mass at the Catholic Shrine. After lunch there was an opportunity to explore the shrine, including the shops and a walk along the Holy Mile. We then met the leader for the following day and settled into the accommodation. The evening consisted of tea, evening prayer, and some shared recreational time before bed.
Tuesday, was a “Pilgrimage Experience” day which included dressing up as a Pilgrim during the time of Edward the Confessor, exploring the Abbey grounds and the village and eating a Pilgrim banquet.
On Wednesday we had time to stop at Wells-on-Sea to enjoy the seaside, build sandcastles and play games. We even had time for an ice cream before the return journey back to school.
