Collective Worship

Our children pray together three times a day: at the start of the school day, before lunch and at the end of the school day.

We hold three formal assemblies every week.  Our children have the option to take part in and lead collective worship.

We celebrate Mass together regularly, the services are led by our Parish Priests.

The prayers we say together and our collective worship policy can be found below.

School Prayer

Dear God,

We thank you for bringing us here today and for all the opportunities you have given us to learn.

Be with us on our journey, of faith and learning, and hold us in your care,
help us to achieve our deepest dreams.

Help us to be good friends to one another,
by being gentle and loving and help us to be guided by the Holy Spirit.
Fill our hearts with the fire and power of your love.

Bless our school and all within it.
Amen.
St. Gregory pray for us.

Morning Offering

O Jesus, I give you today, all that I think and do and say.
Please help me to be kind to others. Amen.

Grace Before Meals

Bless us O Lord and bless this food.
Bless those who have prepared it.
Bless those who have served it.
Give food to the hungry.
Amen.

Angelus Prayer for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (Midday)

The Angel Gabriel told Mary that she had been chosen to have a very special baby.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Mary agreed to the plan. She said, ‘Let it happen to me as you have said.’

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

And Jesus was born and lived among us.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Holy Mary, please pray for us, that our love for Jesus may grow stronger every day.

Let us pray: O Lord, fill our hearts with your love warming our hearts and brightening our way.  May Christ our Saviour bring light and life into this world, and to us, as we wait for his coming.  Amen.

The Angelus for Key Stage 2 (Midday)

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord.

Be it done unto me according to your word.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

And the Word was made flesh.

And dwelt amongst us.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: Pour forth we beseech you O Lord, your grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ, your Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may, by His passion and cross, be brought to the glory of His resurrection, through the same Christ our Lord.  Amen.

End of School Day Prayer

God our Father,
I come to say, thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family and all the friends you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night and in the morning send your light.
Amen.

Prayer for Children at Nursery

From my head to my heart,
From my shoulder to my shoulder,
I belong to you O God my Father.

Thank you for our lovely day at nursery.
Please look after us on our way home.
Amen.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.
